Richard (Rich) Cadena is a commercial real estate credit officer with nearly 15 years of experience and a career spanning over $4 billion in underwritten loan originations across more than 200 transactions. As Vice President at BHI, the U.S. arm of Bank Hapoalim, Rich has underwritten multifamily, hospitality, mixed-use condo, and self-storage construction, permanent and bridge loan transactions across key U.S. markets. Rich is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at Columbia Business School, where he focuses on real estate, finance, and executive leadership, and holds an M.S. in Real Estate from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. A first-generation Latin American professional, Rich is deeply committed to mentoring and furthering representation in the commercial real estate industry. He actively mentors younger professionals—particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds—offering guidance grounded in experience, rigor, and integrity, and a keen interest in finance, history and urban economics.
