Membership Categories

Membership is open to individuals and organizations committed to advancing equitable leadership and community impact.

  • Corporate Membership – For companies and institutions. Dues are tiered by employee size.
  • Individual Membership – For professionals seeking to connect, learn, and contribute.
  • Student Membership – For currently enrolled college students (undergraduate or graduate). Annual dues are waived with an approved fee waiver request submitted from a verified student account.

 Corporate members enjoy all individual benefits, plus:

  • Public listing in the REĀL Member Directory as a recommended employer/partner

  • Option to request an invoice for membership dues

Student members receive the same benefits as individual members (including Community Access, discounted tickets, and early access to partner programs), with dues waived upon approval.

Membership Eligibility

REĀL centers and uplifts the Latinx community, but membership is open to all individuals and organizations who share our commitment to advancing equity, leadership, and impact. Allies are welcome.

You can still become an at-large member and access the full suite of benefits, including our online portal, exclusive LinkedIn and Slack communities, and members-only job board. Many of our programs and events are available virtually, ensuring that members outside active markets remain fully engaged.

 Yes. Membership is open to both seasoned professionals and newcomers. REĀL provides programs, resources, and networks that support members at every stage of their career journey.

Dues & Payments

Dues vary by category:

  • Corporate Membership – tiered rates based on employee size

  • Individual Membership – standard annual rate

  • Student Membership – waived with proof of enrollment

We accept online payments only via debit or credit card, processed securely through Stripe. Corporate members may also request an invoice by email.

Not at this time.

Memberships renew automatically on an annual basis. Renewal reminders are sent in advance.

There is a one-month grace period after your membership lapses. After that, benefits are paused until dues are renewed.

Membership dues are non-refundable and non-transferable. For specific circumstances, please contact us.

Yes. Many employers view REĀL membership as a valuable professional development and networking benefit. You may request that your employer cover your membership dues directly. Corporate members also have the option to request an invoice for streamlined payment.

Membership dues are not interchangeable with tax-deductible donations. While dues support REĀL’s operations and member programs, only contributions made as charitable donations (separate from membership) may be considered tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance.

No. Sponsorships and donations are separate from membership and do not automatically include member benefits. However, certain sponsorship agreements may include complimentary membership as part of the sponsorship package, where terms apply.

Governance & Participation

Yes. Members nominate the board of directors and other key organizational priorities at the annual meeting.

Yes. Each corporate membership designates a primary contact, but benefits extend across the organization.

Members are encouraged to join committees, volunteer, and share feedback to help shape REĀL’s programs and priorities.

Programs & Initiatives

REĀL provides a mix of professional development, leadership training, networking events, and advocacy initiatives designed to advance equity and representation in the CRE industry.

  • Mujeres – Elevating the voices and leadership of Latina women in the CRE industry.
  • NuevaGen – Engaging and equipping emerging leaders who represent the next generation of changemakers.
  • Mentorship Program (Coming Soon) – A structured, members-only program connecting experienced CRE leaders with rising professionals and students.

No. While some programs are hosted through chapters and local markets, many are offered virtually so members everywhere can participate.

Yes. Members are encouraged to volunteer on committees, provide feedback, and help inform the design of new initiatives.

Yes. REĀL collaborates with partners across the CRE industry and beyond to expand opportunities, resources, and visibility for our members. In some cases, sponsorship agreements with partners may include complimentary membership for designated individuals or representatives, where terms apply.
