The Mission.

Our mission is to provide mentoring opportunities for high school students from underrepresented backgrounds to prepare for influential careers in real estate through exposure to diverse industry professionals and practices. Participating students are from schools in the Los Angeles area.

 

What is Project AIRE?

In a partnership with Onward Scholars’ Project AIRE (Aspirations in Real Estate), REAL will provide opportunities to learn about the different aspects of real estate:

  • Development/Construction

  • Business Development & Marketing

  • Brokerage

  • Asset and Portfolio Management

  • Debt (lending) / Equity (sale of shares)

  • Professional Services (architecture, attorneys, escrow & title, etc.)

Through experiences such as:

  • Field trips to shadow real estate professionals at their worksites

  • Visits to college campuses that offer real estate programs

  • Networking/internship opportunities in partnership with Real Estate Association of Latinx Professionals (REAL)

The Commitment.

Meet virtually and in-person an average of twice a month to discuss student-generated topics based on professional interests.

 

Keynote Speakers Series

Project AIRE is grateful for our keynote speakers’ time and commitment. The stories and insights shared bring visibility to this great industry and advance our mission to prepare students for influential careers in real estate.

 
  • Alicia Bramble served as Project AIRE’s keynote speaker during our launch event on February 28th. Alicia is Vice President of Asset Management at Douglass Park Asset Management. She is responsible for the long-term planning and implementation of the investment strategy for firm assets. She has earned several industry certifications, including the Certified Housing Asset Management from the Neighbor Works Training Institute and the Tax Credit Specialist. Ms. Bramble holds a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University in San Diego, California, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University with an expected graduation in 2022.

  • Christianne Schrobilgen shared her real estate career journey and personal story during Project AIRE’s second meeting on March 28th. Christianne is a Partner & COO for iimpact capital and leads the execution of iimpact’s strategy and vision. iimpact is an investment platform investing with women-owned and -led managers in the development and preservation of affordable housing. Christianne has over 16 years of experience in commercial real estate marketing and operations. She has been responsible for leading strategies of over $1.5 billion in transactional value and has worked in DEI and sustainability - decarbonizing the built environment. Christianne graduated from Pepperdine University in Business Management.

  • Karen Esparza was Project AIRE’s third featured speaker on May 2nd. She is Vice President of Asset Management for BLDG Partners LLC. With nearly two decades of real estate experience, Karen’s previous professional history includes leadership positions with notable organizations as Sequoia Equities and Owner/Developer, Highridge Costa, LLC. She has contributed to the development and oversight of more than 10,000 multifamily residential units yielding more than $1B of real estate investment throughout the nation. She received an Executive Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and serves on several industry boards.
